Some interesting facts about Charlemagne was that he is known to be one of the most well known historical figure in the world. Another fact about him was that he was said to have eyes that were as big as a cartoon character's eyes. One last fact about Charlemagne was that he was buried the same day he dies. I think that Charlemagne had a positive impact because one, he rebuilt old roman cities and roads (he was making use of something that was once used). He developed what is now modern day east and west Francia. He also made latin the official language of his civilization which is now used in many areas.
Castles provided protection to the kings (lord, monarch, etc.) in many ways. One way castles protected kings was that there was a large and high wall that made it harder for "criminals" to infiltrate the castle. Another reason they protected kings was that castles had moats (small bodies of water) that surrounded the castle wall which made it even harder to get into the castle. Another reason castles protected kings was that there were terrets where guards would stand and watch guard. Lastly, castles were very large structures so if a criminal did get in somehow, it would be very hard to find the king.
The vikings had an impact on the development of feudalism because Vikings were attacking many lords and peasants, so knights had to be hired> Knights are a huge part of the feudal system because they provide protection for the peasants, nobles, kings, and of course, themselves.
